Jasper, The Beginning.

Small boy of five
Hiding In corner
Closed eyes
Hands on ears
Still he hears
Slaps and screams
His father on his mother
Helpless he stares
In blank
Silently crying
Whispering prayers
To end it all.

A boy of ten,
His mother no more
It’s killing him
To be under the same roof
A murderer
His father?
Or a Devil
Penetrating him
And his soul
In hushing tone
He prays
Oh lord
How much more?

A boy of fifteen,
His face agleam
Drunkard father
Threw him on the floor
Not crying now
Not anymore
He see her
His mother
He hears those
Her screams
Picking up the smashed glass
Killed the devil
Free was his soul
Blood on his hands
Freedom on his mind
Closing the doors
He ran
He ran
He ran
Till he reached the shore,

Run, Jasper
You have to,
In the darkness
He ran alone.

Waking up
In a shudder
A man,
Holding a gun
Fear in his eyes
Memories still haunts him
But he know
He did rise,
Away from the Shadows
Carrying a rose
With a Gun
He walks
People run
Still sometimes
Afraid of the dark
Still he walks
On a thorny path
He loves that child
On the street
Plays with him
Whenever he meet,
This face of that man
Nobody have seen
That five year old
Is still within
Fear now fears him
For he is now
Jasper, The Black Thorn Klein.

The Lost Soul.

PS: So this is prequel to my earlier poem, Jasper the black thorn Klein, my first fictional character. if you want to read the earlier one you can read it Here

So for a change This Lost Soul, Wrote something that’s not related to love. Haha. Hope you will like this.

A simple one with complicated thought process ..I write to seek answers, I write to seek what is missing. I write because it makes me calm. I write because I am not completely lost, not yet found. I, am wandering. Writing comes naturally, in the heat of most passionate moments, either of happiness or utter sadness.

  1. quite a post not just a post but an eye-catchin’ story u have come up with. kinda like the layout esp. the way how thoroughly it’s written with such a deep-yet-deepen frequency of generous thoughts. anybody can easily relate this picturesque lockdown “prequel” to their realistic life.

looking forward to check out its 1st part, shortly.

      Thank you so very much
It’s because of you I thought of writing this. And making more parts of it.

    1. I am beaming cheeks to cheek reading your words.
I will work on Jasper more.
I write love and lack of it because I had and lost it.
But that’s what I mostly get inspired from.
      Thank you again. 💜💜

  2. A fresh departure from your writings of love. 🙂 this was powerful. Both the parts depict the pain of the character so beautifully done. Kudos Priya ❤

  3. I laughed when Shefali said let’s give love a break! She has a point, we often need a moment to catch our breath. Before plunging right back into the warm, wanton depths of our favourite inspiration.
But, oh – you can funnel feeling into any genre, sweet Priya, and have us all hanging on every line. I will search for Jasper online again, for as time wears on your story telling of him is bound to go as viral as my admiration for you ❤

    1. I do too. Though, love is the inspiration that’s always on my door to pick.
And I tried before. And I tried now. Your words are encouraging. I am waiting for Jasper to tell more of him.
May be I would Write Jasper in love too.
See, this is what I do. Connect everything to love.
      You are sweetest HoneyBee.

      1. Sugarplum, he is completely intriguing. It will be nice to follow him closely on whatever you conjure for him. I like serialised work, though it seems to take a lot of effort.
Haha, of course he will fall in love. Just hope he is not an ass 😉

  4. This is a different sort of writing for you, but of course you are amazing at it. This character, poor boy/man, tortured… very dark and haunting, and very moving. I love your writing! 🙂
