Out of the box.

“Sob”
When they brought me home
I was full
They were happy.
Ah! Tickling small hands
Wanted to unwrap
Those smart ones
Handling with care.

Oh, My blabbering.
I didn’t tell you
Who am I?
It’s pleasure to meet you
Me?
I am a Box.
Yes! The same one
You got your Tv in,
Fridge, machine,
Books and toys.
Of course they all were not me
Duh! But my family
Unçle, brother,
Friends and cousins.

My bad! Why am I talking to you?
Because
I am sad.
I wasn’t till this morning
Within me I was carrying
This beautiful piece
Of artistry
And till the time
I wasn’t in their hands
I was flying
Oh my feet never saw the ground.
Oh then befell
The tragedy
They took me in their hands
Opening me
They took away my love
Far away from me
Leaving me alone
Empty
Tittered
Tattered
Sitting in a corner
No one is looking at me
I am lying
Shattered
And you know what hurts?
That no one bothers.

This is me.
Every time
Most of the time
I make friends and I fall in love
But my story is short lived
Because they separate
Me from my friends
All hell break down.

Oh no!!
Please no!

Bam! Bam!Bam!
Great! now I am homeless too
Oh! It’s cold here
Alone on the street
Lying in the feet
Wailing
Waiting
Every time
Till I get a new love
A new home
Till some one pick me up
Reuniting me with my family
Until someone
Twist me
Kick me
& toss
I will be staying here
All alone
Until someone will see me
With kind eyes
I will be sitting here
Yes, I will be.

That’s me. That’s my story.
I carry stocks,
Blocks to blocks
Needle
Machinery
Flips and flops
Shows and crocs
Paintings and toys
Piece of arts
Some beautiful drawings
But they all are taken
Out of the box
Making me
An Empty Box.

The Lost Soul.

PS: This is my try at object poetry. Hope you give love to this lost box.

A simple one with complicated thought process ..I write to seek answers, I write to seek what is missing. I write because it makes me calm. I write because I am not completely lost, not yet found. I, am wandering. Writing comes naturally, in the heat of most passionate moments, either of happiness or utter sadness.

      1. In all honesty, personally, I’m not a fan of object poetry but I love how you constantly challenge yourself and prove your versatility with every new post.
And even though I’m not particularly a fan of this genre, I still believe you wrote this very well.
And this brilliance is also enhanced by the fact that this was your first try at it. You’re really very impressive ❤❤

  1. You are doing well-out of the box, actually. I would have to read this verse, several times, at different hours and in different seasons, as one looks at a carpet from different angles and heights, and at various levels of sunlight, in order to fully understand the shimmering of your soul.

  3. This was very touching, because of course it’s about human emotions of loss and loneliness. You should look up Danbo! That’s a box who personifies your story.
    I loved this! I hope you’re doing well, my friend! 🙂 ❤

  4. Well it’s beautiful, you gave a life to a box… but moreover what I see is, the way you described it thru a perspective of non-living object. Its difficult to cover all aspects, like you did it.

  5. I consider ’tis ‘nutter one of my fav. poetry of the night. Very deep… smooth… & well structured in words. Liked the way how the tendris’ of ur thoughts be well wrapped & hooked up with around the parchment… the suchness… of “Mr. Objectivee Sob”.

You put urself in its shoes, & view the whole enigmatic world the way it looks, perceives, & is to be watched through life. A life of “Non-Living”? — “…is as hellish as anoy other living, but not exactly.” — i guess, it’s a very great idea u have come up with this time. U must continue writing some fables on it like making some imagitive characters’, & bringing ’em down in words? in novels? with an epic encapsulated storyline. Really liked… even loved the whole concept u nailed down!

    Looking forward to your blogs!

  6. My pleasure Priya. But to be honest I am quite selfish here, your poems so adorable and fascinating that I couldn’t even resist. I want more of them.
